The Cambridge Glass Co. produced an
incredible rainbow of colors during the Depression era. A great example
is this collaboration with the Farber Ware chrome company- the Statuesque
line which features a nude lady as the stem of a piece. Here the lady is
chrome, and the upper part is a cobalt blue glass compote. 7in tall priced

The Heisey Glass Co. produced this
color and pattern towards the very end of their production, in the late
'50s. Vases by Heisey in general are hard to find. There are two matching
ones available priced individually. 8in Heisey Lodestar vases in rare grey
Dawn color. Marked. $250.00 each. |

Steuben colored glass was produced
under the direction of Frederic Carder through 1932, at the Steuben Glass
Works in Corning, New York. The gold Aurene color was introduced in 1904.
Today Steuben art glass is almost always clear. A few of the numerous Steuben
lamp shades we have available in our mall- From left to right, drag
loop shade with Calcite white bottom, Aurene gold interior and green loops,
$350. Bulbous Steuben gold Aurene shade, it has a few chips on the top
rim which would be hidden when on a lamp, $300. More typical gold Aurene
shade for $250. We have several of the latter one. |

Sometimes you can find a great piece that combines different areas
of collecting. This compote is a mix of glass and sterling- Cambridge
made the glass and Wallace did the sterling
overlay. The glass is decorated with the Portia etching, and the sterling
overlay on the top and foot is in the Rose pattern. Marked. $395.00. |

Elegant is the name given to highly crafted American stemware of
the '20s-'50s. Left to right; Charter Oak pattern by Heisey
in Flamingo pink, 8oz goblet for $45.00. Fostoria
American in unusual cobalt blue 5.25in tumbler for $49.00. Tiffin
5.25in cocktail stem in the lovely Twilight (a pale blue purple). Fostoria
5099 blank in Topaz with Trojan etch, one more available, $60.00 each.

These are two examples of recent studio art glass, a movement that
is still in effect. Glassblowing is something that smaller artists can
do in their own studios now, and these are two great examples of newer

The Wave Crest Glass Co. produced lovely
milk glass in the late Victorian era, often with delicate floral transfers
& enamel. The ones with original lining, unusual designs, or of good
size are exciting finds for collectors. It's milk glass with very faint
staining in peach, with an excellent shape and hand painted flowers. Signed.
$285.00. The middle one is 3x2.5in with a delicate yellow stain, and hand
