Lefton China
Lefton China marks do not all look alike. The coffee set pictured was produced sometime between 1949 and 1955. Although the mark may look recent, the phrase "Reg. U.S. Pat. Off." was last used in 1955. Early production of this post World War II china are of delicate porcelain and detailed hand painting. The chocolate set (service for six) sells for $165.

Lefton China founder, George Zoltan Lefton was known as "The China King." The Collector's Encyclopedia of Lefton China (144 beautifully illustrated pages) by Loretta DeLozier sells for $19.95 at Collector's Bookstore.  Click here to shop for Lefton and thousands of other antiques
