Imperial onion skin
hanging hearts vase. Not sure if Imperial actually referred to
this pattern as hanging hearts, but it looks exactly like the Fenton
pattern of that name. Imperial made entirely
hand blown art glass for a very
short period of time in the early
1920s;
this is from that line. This one has the “luster” finish they made-
that is, it has an iridescent effect, with a sort of matte, almost
crackle effect. The hearts are opalescent. The vase also has a lip of
cobalt blue applied. The bottom has a polished pontil mark, and the
whole piece is completely hand blown. There is no damage on this piece,
it is in excellent condition.
